Of the approximately 10 Chestnut-headed Bee-eater nests that were completed it seemed that only 4-5 produced fully fledged chicks. It is possible the Blue-throated bee-eaters were early arriving and caused some nest abandonment.

To feed the brood insects are vigorously pursued and captured.

Sometimes the incoming birds had to wait their turn on adjacent perches for the nest entrance to clear.

Butterflies were escorted into the nest.

Other helpers waited on the ground nearby.
