This Chestnut-headed Bee-eater chick gets its first glimpse of the outside world. It was stationed just inside the nest entrance to receive the stream of insects being brought in. An hour later it flew off in a successful fledging.
The head is green at the front, likewise the Blue-throated chicks have a completely green head.
