The skink wiggles in a bid to escape
A close-up view of the White-throated Kingfisher with a Sun Skink
Lizards are on the menu and he was soon grabbing a more colourful one and beating it. On both occasions he go a bunch of grass along with the lizard in the hit and run
Victim number one a sun skink. The tyres line the cycle track and the kingfisher likes to land on them with prey to beat them on the rigid surface up before swallowing them. Too much hand-of man for competitions but that is OK with me...it is how this wild bird does things.
